We track our students' academic growth and achievement with two specific tests: the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) and the Stanford Achievement Test (SAT-10).
TAKS
The TAKS tests allow us to evaluate our students’ knowledge against their counterparts from around the state of Texas.
Scores for 2008 show KIPP Austin students in grades six through eight continuing to outperform their peers across Texas.
2008 TAKS Results
The Stanford Achievement Test (SAT-10) allows us to compare our students’ progress against their counterparts throughout the United States, measuring longitudinal growth. The graph below indicates that as our students advance through the grades, they are making greater progress, filling in the gaps of learning that occurred before they entered our school in fifth grade.
